ExcelWorks LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy describes how we collect, use, and safeguard data when you install and use the ExceLab 365 Calculus Functions Add-in (the “add-in”) from Microsoft AppSource.
We collect and use only the minimum information necessary to operate the add-in, identify your account, and provide licensing and support services, as detailed below.
When you install the add-in, you grant permission for us to read your Microsoft OpenID basic profile, which includes your name, email address, and a unique identifier for your Microsoft account. We also access your locale and language settings to tailor the add-in’s configuration to your regional preferences. This information is used solely to identify your account and communicate with you when necessary (e.g., licensing, technical support, or critical updates). We do not share, sell, or disclose this information to any third party, and we do not send marketing or promotional emails.
To perform calculations, the add-in must access data from your currently open spreadsheet. Access is strictly limited to the formulas and cell values that you explicitly pass as input arguments to the add-in’s calculus functions. These data are used only to perform the requested calculation and to return the computed result to your spreadsheet.
If you choose to activate a paid subscription, we may collect limited billing details such as your name and billing address, solely for tax and compliance purposes. Payment card information is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. All transactions are processed securely by trusted third-party payment service providers that comply with PCI-DSS industry standards.
Profile information required for license management and account identification is securely stored on our servers and retained for as long as your license remains active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at support@excel-works.com. We will remove your data promptly in accordance with applicable data-protection regulations.
Spreadsheet data sent to our computation servers are processed entirely in memory and automatically deleted immediately after the calculation is completed. In limited cases, small portions of input data may be temporarily retained in anonymized form for debugging or performance optimization, after which they are permanently erased. No calculation data are stored persistently or shared externally.
We do not sell, share, or otherwise disclose any personal or spreadsheet data to third parties except as required to process payments or comply with applicable law. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools within the add-in.
