We strive to protect your privacy and data like our own. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection and use of your data when you install and use our ExceLab 365 Calculus Functions Add-in (hereafter, referred to as the add-in) from Microsoft AppSource.
We only collect and use information necessary to operate the add-in and identify your account as detailed below.
When you install the add-in, you grant us permission to read your OpenID basic profile which includes your name, your email, and a unique identifier for your Microsoft account. We also read the locality and language for custom configuration of the add-in specific to your regional settings. We use your profile data to identify your account and communicate with you via email when necessary. We do not disclose or share your profile data in any way or send any marketing emails.
To operate the add-in, you grant us permission to read data from your currently open spreadsheet. The data we read is limited to values you pass as input arguments to our calculus functions. We use the data for the sole purpose of carrying out the requested calculus calculation and providing a result.
If you choose to license the add-in via paid subscription, we are required to collect additional personal information including your address for the sole purpose of complying with tax collection requirements.
Credit card numbers you use for making purchases are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Credit card payments are processed on industry-standard secure third-party payment services.
We follow best practices for safely storing any information we collect on our servers. Profile data necessary to identify your account and manage your license is stored on our server and will remain stored even if you uninstall the add-in. However, we will not sell any information relating to your account to a third party.
Spreadsheet data collected for a requested calculation and sent to our server is only held in memory and deleted from our server memory immediately after the calculation is completed. However, we may occasionally store collected data temporarily for the sole purpose of debugging and improving our calculation engine performance.
